Oh Hey.

Why hello there! Long time, no see! A lot has changed since I last posted... Let me give a quick run down.. We have a new addition to the family! Her name is Macy!

Harley, our 4 year old Golden, was a bit apprehensive at first, but quickly they became BFF's.

We adopted her from a local animal shelter. She is the sweetest, most precious little girl ever.

Jeremy and I had our wedding in Freeport, Bahamas last year.

I got my first big girl job! And the excitement wore off about a day after starting(if even that). :) I quickly realized my love of money, or more my love of SPENDING money, and realized how much the job market is looking for even HIGHER education. So I started going full-time to grad school working towards my MBA. If you had told me I'd be back in school a couple years ago, or even a year ago, I would have been convinced you were smoking crack.

Enough about me, regarding the house, a ton of changes have happened. The largest change (literally) would be the "workshop" in the back yard. AKA Man Cave AKA Man Shop.
Man Shop. Lots of building and beer drinking take place here.

Which has since been painted to match the house color.

We scored an insanely awesome deal on cabinets from craigslist and have since installed them. It was an offer too good to refuse. So one things leads to another and now we have huge plans for the kitchen including a new floor, backsplash, painting the cabinets white, and of course new appliances.

More to come on that.

Anyways, I look forward to playing catch up!

Harley the Bull

While I finish up making my wig and desperately searching for white pants for J, I thought I’d share Harley’s costume this year.

So Happy I Could Die

I have been MIA for a while now but it's for a very good reason and I hope you forgive me. J IS HOME! Back track: J's been gone for quite some time now.. I'm talking months.. and now HE'S BACK! WAHOOO! I try to keep it under wraps on this ol' thang, for security reasons. But anyways... hopefully I will be back to somewhat regular posting sometime soon.. Here's a video of Harley and J reuniting to tide you over until then. Hasta la vista, baybays!

Brad Pitt for the Win

I recently stumbled upon a website that morphs two pictures together to see what your child would look like.  You can morph two celebrities, upload pictures of yourself and a friend to morph, or morph yourself with a celebrity. The pictures you upload have to be front facing pictures. I thought it might be funny to see what J and I's future children would look like.Since J has an extreme aversion of getting his picture taken it took some searching to find one but one emerged from the depths of my iphone. I think it was a sneak attack picture at Applebee's.

I'm cool and found this myspace-esque picture I took it of myself from a while ago. I should have at least made my background look better.

So I morphed those pictures and somehow our future son is going to look like Donald Trump.

Seriously? They think I would let my kids hair look like that? My mom said if our kid looked like that she's sure we'll still love it. lol

Out of pure curiosity I wanted to see what my love child with Brad Pitt would look like.

Much cuter. Sorry J. Brad Pitt for the win.

For now (and about ten more years) I'm fine with our son looking like this:

Line 'Em Up

While I was home in Ohio, after the Texas trip, my mom put me to work. Welll, I kinda put myself to work. I felt like I had to make up for my mud-loving dog that left his huge paw prints everywhere. My goal was to finish the bench Jeremy and I had made for mother's day and get her master bedroom bathroom painted. After some careful deliberation, my madre decided to put the bench in the screened in porch. She recently hung some white sheers to get a light and airy feel, so we thought painting the bench white would go great. So I got to work.

First step: Priming.

I'm pretty sure it took longer to paint this than to build it. And I'm not sure why I didn't flip the bench over.

While the primer was out and I was doing the work (haha) my mom had me prime a planter stand, and a kids tabletop too. Again, I was making up for Mr. Mud, so it was ok. I have to admit, I kinda like helping out, so I was actually more than willing. I got about halfway on the planter stand before I remembered a before picture:

And here's the kids table:

My mom started to sand off the shiny top.

Here's everything primed and ready:

The doggies wanted to get in on the action too:

My Izzie girl!

Harley got a little too ambitious and got paint on his nose.

The kids tabletop was being primed so it could become a chalkboard! We used the spray chalkboard paint. I got the honors of painting it since I primed it. Trust me, even my brother gathered around to watch, so it was an honor. He even gave it a spray so he could "feel the power." I don't even know what that means, haha.

Here's the after shot:

My goal was not achieved though because although I did get a lot of painting done, I only got one coat of paint put on the bench and one on the bathroom walls as well. So when my mom finishes both of them, I'll make her figure out her camera and send me proper after pictures!
